Buy this game, Get 3 Punches! Reviews at a Glance. Customer Reviews. I finished it in 2 days with 3 stars on each level. Not sure why some players had trouble figuring out how to use the spirit.
It’s quite easy! You have to upgrade your production buildings in order to use the spirit. The spirit speeds up production of that building for a short time so be ready to send you guys to it repeatedly.
Wishing the spirit was available on more or all of the boards though. I am feeling very disappointed in them for sure! I’ve been with BF for over 10 years now. I’d hate to have to leave the game club to seek out another game provider. I’ve been sad that there have been no more games in those series. They are long, sooooo much fun and super challenging. Date published: I enjoyed this game a lot, so much so i have finished it already and that is including the bonus section.
Now the only reason i rated the game 4 out of five stars was because of how to use the spirit the first time i came across it, at first i clicked on the spirit a few times to make it work and nothing happened so i thought i may have had a level fault, so started the level again thinking it may fix it and tried the same thing again and it still didn’t work when i clicked on the spirit also as another has mentioned i did check the hint section and nothing was there about how to use a spirit as i was just about to quit the game i then thought why not click on a production building to see if that would make the spirit work and sure enough it did, now this is for the dev’s if you are going to bring in something new to a game make sure you explain it in the hints section seeing we are paying extra for it in the collectors edition.
So because of this issue it took what could have been a 5 star game down to a 4 star, i hate having to repeat levels because the dev’s don’t explain how something you need to do on your to do list in a game to finish of a level is not explained properly when you come across it the first time.
So after sorting out the spirit issue the rest of the game was fine. It runs really smoothly, you do need strategy, and the graphics have come a long way from previous games. There is a numbered and written strategy guide, music and art as extras.
There are achievments and collectables. You do have to watch how you play, and occasionally I had to hold back, as depending where you get your resources from you may either pay for them or they are free.
You can find yourself using all your food just picking up wood if you go to the wrong source. There are collectables on all levels and they show on the map exactly which one you are looking for. They are also marked on the strategy guide with an exclamation mark!. But the guide is so tiny you may need your specs on to see it clearly lol.
This is one reason not full stars for this game. The other reason is that you cannot skip the opening dialogue on each level, but it does not go for too long. But if you like TM’s this game is well worth the purchase. Perhaps not ‘top of the tree’ like some, but a worthwhile offering indeed. Its pretty much the same style as the others in this series, with open gardens, resource buildings etc, and in this one there are gates that require you standing on buttons or pushing levers at a cost..
There are also performance bonuses.. I am thrilled this developer has made an effort here. This is kind of a standard “fetch and carry” game. You mine, chop, and forage through the world in an attempt to gather some gems. While a lot of fun, it’s a little bit repetitive. You can’t turn off the chatter at the beginning of each game, but you can turn off the tutorial.
If you prefer to play without a time limit, the easy option does that. It’s no “Roman Adventures” or “New Yankee”, but it’s worth checking out. Rated 4 out of 5 by clrfast from Good Game I really like this game. However, on level 15 you must use a spirit. I checked the strategy guide, but it does not explain this process.
Rated 4 out of 5 by katielou2 from lost artifacts the mysterious book Love the series, but can’t get through level 15 using the spirit! Frustrating as heck! Rated 4 out of 5 by booger69 from Fun The walkthrough guide sometimes is not very informative. How does a person use it? Now I cannot go on past that level. I payed the full “Collector’s Edition” price too. Very disappointing. The graphics are quite lovely and objects easy to see. The actual game play was repetitive. It was very easy to complete all levels.
There was a glimmer of personality in a few of the Bonus levels, but other than that it was a game that has no replay-ability factor for me. Every level was the same as the other levels. Rated 3 out of 5 by Koffie99 from Disappointing again Where are the good games Romans, Adelantado and similar games that offer a fun challenge?
Not seen a decent game for years. This game is cute but boring. The Big Fish Guarantee: Quality tested and virus free. No ads, no adware, no spyware. Get the latest games, special offers, and more!
